Here’s a small update on the progress of the Peking university gymnasium (The Tabletennis venue for the 2008 Olympics). As you can see on the pictures, the biggest part of it has already been finished. It should be completely done by the end of 2007, I sure am looking forward to it!

yokohachamps.jpg After Zagreb, Croatia in 2007, and Guangzhou, China in 2008, the World Table Tennis Championships will head to Yokohama, Japan for the 2009 tournament. It won the bid over the city of Linz, Austria.

The 2007 Championships will run in Zagreb, Croatia between the dates May 21 and 27. The 2008 Championships in Guangzhou, China between the 24th of February to the 2nd of March. Also, the 2008 Summer, Olympics will be held in Beijing, China from August 13 to August 23.   More …

In this second part of the Beijing 2008 building I’m going to give you an update on the water tube (The Beijing national aquatic centre) or as the Chinese so poetically call it ‘水立方’ (which means: ‘where the water stands’) This venue, just like the Bird’s nest, is already almost completed and is an unbelievable building, not only by the looks of it but also because of the amazing technology used in it.
